One Nation

“Am Echad Ba’aretz” (one nation on the land) is not from the Tanach. “Am Echad” is found twice and both in negative usage.

1. Bereshit 11,6

“And the LORD said: ‘Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is what they begin to do; and now nothing will be with holden from them, which they purpose to do.”

Together as one, is there anything stopping them from destroying the world I created.

2. Esther 3,8

“And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus: ‘There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from those of every people; neither keep they the king’s laws; therefore it profiteth not the king to suffer them.”

Look at them as a different people, relate to them as ones whom should exist. Note that we all want to be one and equal BUT these are diverse.

In the USA Pledge of Allegiance the words “under God” were added to the Pledge on 14 June 1954 by President Eisenhower (more on that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_the_Pledge_of_Allegiance#.22Under_God.22_ruling) “One Nation under God” served to “acknowledge the dependence of our people and our Government upon the moral directions of the Creator.”

“Goy Echand Ba’aretz” (one shmuch in the land)

“And who is like Thy people, like Israel, a nation one in the earth, whom God went to redeem unto Himself for a people, and to make Him a name, and to do for Thy land great things and tremendous, even for you, [in driving out] from before Thy people, whom Thou didst redeem to Thee out of Egypt, the nations and their gods? And Thou didst establish to Thyself Thy people Israel to be a people unto Thee for ever; and Thou, LORD, becamest their God. And now, O LORD God, the word that Thou hast spoken concerning Thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm Thou it for ever, and do as Thou hast spoken. And let Thy name be magnified for ever, that it may be said: The LORD of hosts is God over Israel; and the house of Thy servant David shall be established before Thee. For Thou, O LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, hast revealed to Thy servant, saying: I will build thee a house; therefore hath Thy servant taken heart to pray this prayer unto Thee. And now, O Lord GOD, Thou alone art God, and Thy words are truth, and Thou hast promised this good thing unto Thy servant; now therefore let it please Thee to bless the house of Thy servant, that it may continue for ever before Thee; for Thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it; and through Thy blessing let the house of Thy servant be blessed for ever.’ “

A Goy that exists to proclaim God and put him first. For a Goy like that God does as was prophesied.

Isaiah 66,8 Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Is a land born in one day? Is a nation brought forth at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD; Shall I that cause to bring forth shut the womb? saith thy God. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her; That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breast of her consolations; that ye may drink deeply with delight of the abundance of her glory.
