I dream of that day when all will know God and his name. But when I look around, I find that Orthodox Judaism (as strange as it might sound) is the most against this dream. Take for example a simple verse for a example (there are plenty more)

Psalm 34:9 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) Taste, and see that Adonai is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him!

Guess what one should taste is in the eyes of Orthodoxy? God? Heaven forbid! Their explanation would be that one should taste “The words of the rabbis and their explanations of the commandments.” (This is from incorrect learning of Derach Hachaim of Chaim of Volozhin) How does this fit the verse? who is “him” that one should take refuge? Go figure.

I dream of the day that we all will want to hear God’s voice personally showing his way. That he might be our only shepherd and guide. But when I look around I find that Orthodox Judaism is the most against this dream.

“Why is it that when we talk to God it is called prayer but when God talks to us it is called schizophrenia?” (Lily Tomlin) Why can we not believe, nor perceive, but yearn, pray & demand, that God show us his way? Why can’t we “WANT” this? Why are allowing ourselves to be forced to accept statements like

like are we willing to accept other ideas since the day temple was destroyed

The simple answer is that we can not accept any of the above nor can we accept diaspora nor any thing which is not in it’s original intent as so intended the creator of the world.

For God did not decree this, only man.
